Innovative Student Achievement Program (ISAP)

Our Innovative Student Achievement Program (ISAP) is the flagship of our organization and is the only one of its kind. Our ISAP is an all-inclusive, comprehensive educational and basketball program. It is designed to build skills in critical thinking, problem solving and leadership. The goal of our ISAP is to have each student athlete one level above their current instructional grade level. Although this may appear to be an aggressive goal, it is an achievable one. Our ISAP reinforces the fundamental concepts our youth posses while enhancing their collegiate and career endeavors.

Our ISAP is a combination of our own learning strategies coupled with the Department of Education (DoE) standards. TEAM R.O.A.R. has deployed its EXCELerated Curriculum (EC) which focuses on four subject areas. The subject areas of math, reading, history, and science and technology make up our EC. This curriculum demands twelve hours of classroom time monthly excluding other  program requirements. Additionally, we use the Common Core initiatives, the PARCC assessment guidelines and other methods to  establish a comfortable yet familiar learning environment. This approach helps our student athletes get acclimated to their classroom material quicker, while introducing new learning material. Lastly, we use C.A.R.E. to anchor our student athletes to our ISAP for a full collegiate experience without the stress. This is our formula for success and how we're able to accomplish the goal of our ISAP.

The educational requirements and output of our ISAP are equally matched in the gym. We thrive from excellence in execution and the bar never drops below this standard. Our ISAP delivers twelve hours of gym time excluding tournaments, scrimmages and other forms of training. Practices are managed to optimize time and efficiency, helping to prepare for competition. Professional trainers are used to help gain a competitive edge while on the court and to compete at the highest levels. We place our student athletes, while on the court,  in every strenuous scenario imaginable. This help to eliminate any uncertainties in their abilities and allow them to only focus on the competition. When the time arises for a display of competitive talent, we'll be ready, we'll be poised, we'll be skilled and above all, we'll be victorious.

TEAM R.O.A.R. acknowledges the commitment to hard work and dedication by our student athletes. We reward them with quarterly  awards and by showcasing them in our newsletters. Such accolades are achieved by illustrating excellence in leadership, both in the classroom and on the court.
